Yoga Technique Workshop
When we first start yoga there is an element of letting our body find its way. It takes time to get used to the new movement patterns. We can feel awkward, heavy or clumsy. Repetition helps to build confidence by creating mind & muscle memory so the unfamiliar soon becomes familiar. We learn that moving with ease requires a balance of flexibility & strength. It does not take long to discover our own imbalances between the two.
With practise we move more efficiently as our bodies become accustomed to the postures. Yet we often reach a plateau, where there is no noticeable change & this is where technique comes into play.
