Snow Report 16 November 2019

More snow mid week meant Verbier was able to open up the La Chaux area. About 30cm fell above 2000m giving great conditions on piste. Off piste is still too rocky to let the skis run although, as ever that didn’t stop the locals on their rock hoppers!

Snow Report 9 November 2019

Opening weekend! This year Verbier managed to get things started unuasually early. A week of bad weather last week put down about half a meter of snow at les Attelas meaning televerbier were able to open the Lac des Vaux area.

Snow cover was surprisingly good with no rocks showing through and nice powdery conditions on top of well groomed pistes.

Below Attelas was not officially open but that did not stop most people from skiing down to Les Ruinettes. This was definitely a bad idea for those taking their new seasons skis, but still a good cover of snow all the way down to Ruinettes where these was about 15cm of cover.

Verbier is only open at the weekends at the moment and we should see a significant improvement before next weekend with cold conditions and more snow forecast for Monday
