Every season sees something new in Verbier, whether it be new installations on the mountain, or new restaurants and businesses opening up in the town. Here’s what’s new on our radar for the coming season:

New on the Mountain

New snow cannons for for Savolyres

During the summer new Snow canonns where installed on le Sud piste on the Svaolyres side. As the name suggests this slope faces south and as such struggles to hold snow in late season. These new istallations should extend the skiing on the Savolyres side and late into April

New Lac des Vaux chair lift

The popular Lac des Vaux chairlift has been replaced with the new chairs with new safety bars like those on the Mayentzet chair. And it’s got comfier seats

New photo point at Mont Fort

Improved access to Nendaz with new 8 person gondola

The new lift links Plan de Fou and Prarion and replaces the Fontaines drag lift and the Plan de Fou cable car. Not only will thius triple the uplift capacity from 800 to 2,400 people per hour but also drastically speed up what used to be the painfully slow trip to Nendaz.

New in Town
